  • You are my morning

    Each day
    You would say
    Good morning
    Lighting my world
    Like the rising sun

    The morning sun
    Still rises
    Through the mists
    I can hear
    Your smile

    I miss your voice
    Soft in my ear
    Whispered words
    Of magic dew
    Across our day

    Each day
    I say
    Good morning
    To the rising sun
    As you light my world

  • Unedited

    You compose my soul

    Unedited

    Across the mists of time

    You bare my heart

    For all to see

    Within the world of rhyme

    I am, you say,

    the light that shines

But your glows in my heart

    I'm not sure

    Where the love began

I think twas at the start

    I am in you

    Unedited

    With loving at the core

    You are in me

    Forever now

I could not ask for more

  • Sorrow's hope

Sorrow carried with it a whisper of hope.

That with love all things are possible

Even as I lost you physically

    Your soul stood by me

    Holding me, comforting me

I long to look again and see the love

    Shining there in your eyes

But I feel it, Like wings about my shoulders

You hold me close in the storms

  • If ever

If ever there was a dream

    I dreamed it with you

If ever there was a man

Who made those dreams come true

    If ever there was truth

You placed it in my soul

    Your spirit lead the way

    And made my heart whole

    If ever my heart sang

It sang it's song for you

    If ever there was one

Who made those songs come true

  • Broken Dreams

    The words spoken
    And in an instant
    Broken dreams
    Shattered at my feet

    You, my blessing, so alive,
    Lay dead they said
    And I would not awake
    From this searing pain

    Now new joys
    Beauty in each moment
    Abound
    Breathtaking
    In their simplicity

    With each sun ray
    Your fingers trace
    Each breeze
    Your hands caress

    Dreams lay broken
    yet differnt dreams
    Crafted gently
    by unseen hand
    Build stairways
    To the sky

  • Lift it up

    I lift it up

    Lift up my heart

    You mend it whole

    With your love

    I lift my soul

    So tattered and worn

    You wash it clean

    From above

    I give myself

    To your infinite care

    I see tender there

    On your face

    I lift my heart

    And give it to you

    I'm blessed by love's

    sweet embrace

  • Morning Soul

    You are my morning soul
    A gift of light
    Breath on the dew

    I look into
    The breaking dawn
And in my heart is you

    Although the tears
    that fill my eyes
    Brush slowly my face

    The love that shines
    Upon our souls
    Will never be erased

    You sweet love
    Are like the stars
    You are the morning sky

    You hold me
    In those angel wings
I find that I can fly

  • Out of the fears and tears

    I reached out
    Past my fear
I let my heart guide me
    Out of the darkness

    Into a city of millions
    I came past the walls
    To find the hearts
    Of forever friends

    Out of the fear
    Out of the darkness
    together
    We draw strength from love

    Here among friends
    I feel you strong
    You bless my soul
    In each breath

    For you I cry
    Yet smiling once more
    I hold hands with hearts
    As we walk
    Out of the darkness

  • For those who may have wondered:

This month has been a bit stressful and I have had trouble having the focus and energy to write much. This month is the fourth anniversary of my loss of a man I love very much to depression and suicide. It is also what would have been his 54th birthday. A coworker lost her brother to suicide over the July 4th weekend and and second lost her son-in-law to a massive heart attack.(He was also the father of one of my son't friends) One of the truly most gifted xanga friends is struggling with a terminal illness.  My son has legal and work issues which I have been trying to help him deal with. I also had a short vacation over this last weekend, planned and taken, to Chicago for the Out of the Darkness Walk for Suicide prevention and meeting some special people who have helped me survive my loss. I will be writing...each day I try I just have to find enough peace inside to be able to hear to words to write.
