  • With love

    With love

    You have awoken in me
The joy of life, of love
    The song in my heart
And the dance in my step

    I gaze at your face
    In the photo framed
    How blessed I am
    You were with me

    In your turmoil and strife
    You were bent, broken
    But in our soul touch
    Your loving whisper held me

So much could I have missed
Lost in life, never having known
In your hands I am filled
    And made whole

    Even death, the darkest shade
That seperates our body and soul
    Has not dimmed the light
That shines from yoou within me

    I know not how
    But with each smile, laugh
    I feel you there
    Deep inside

    You are my heart
    My dreams and desires
    Fulfilled in our souls
    We walk forever with love

  • That was beautiful. After almost 24 years of marriage, you sometimes forget what it's like to be "in love". Your poem reminds me of that feeling.

  • Dear Margot,  it's been quite some time since I was here to read.  I was just reading a poem concerning where are the love poems anymore and realized I had been missing them, here.  I thought you were in my list of subscriptions but realize I had relied on the ring for updates.  I have subscribed as I should have a long time ago, a really long time ago.  I have a great affection for your writing and need to avoid the loss of more opportunities to read.

    Regards,
